A Green and White Forest Wedding Featuring French-Inspired Florals

This couple’s vision was fresh and modern, brought to life in the most enchanting forest setting. Tucked away at a private lakeside venue, guests arrived not by car, but by boat—gliding across the water before stepping onto the shore of this intimate celebration. The scene unfolded in layers of green and white, where French-inspired florals added an effortless elegance to the natural surroundings. With trees overhead and the quiet shimmer of the lake nearby, every detail felt thoughtfully curated yet beautifully organic, creating a wedding day that was both refined and deeply connected to nature.

The bride’s vision for her bouquet was rooted in an open, airy design that felt effortless and organic—yet refined. Inspired by the timeless cleanliness of a French white and green palette, we focused on creating something that felt both polished and natural. Crisp white ranunculus and delicate clematis were layered with soft limelight hydrangea, offering subtle structure while still allowing the bouquet to breathe. The restrained color story gave a nod to French-inspired elegance, while the shape remained loose and unstructured to mirror the surrounding forest.

To further connect the bouquet to the natural setting of the venue, we incorporated trailing love-in-a-puff vine, airy Queen Anne’s lace, and textural grasses that added movement and depth. These elements brought a sense of wild beauty and softness, blending seamlessly with the organic setting. The result was a composition that felt clean yet romantic—modern in its simplicity, but rich with texture and interest—perfectly complementing the intimate celebration in the woods.

A true moment was made at the arbor. Built from natural elements that felt as though they had risen straight from the forest floor, it blended seamlessly into the surrounding trees while still anchoring the ceremony space. The structure was softened with graceful draping amaranthus, its trailing strands adding movement and romance. Framed by towering trees, the arbor created the perfect setting for this intimate exchange of vows.

When we first envisioned the arbor, it was essential that it honor the natural surroundings while still carrying the refined touch of the French-inspired florals woven throughout the day. It needed to be a true focal point—something that would command attention rather than disappear into the forest—yet transition effortlessly from the structure itself into the surrounding floral moments. The balance between organic texture and intentional design was key.

White calla lilies, anthurium, and ranunculus stood out beautifully against layers of green ferns, moss, and sedum. Blooms was thoughtfully attached to the arbor with the intention of appearing as though they were floating—allowing the florals to feel light and elevated while still grounded in the natural framework. At the base of the structure, lush ground florals echoed the same white and green palette, creating continuity and depth. This layered approach completed the look, framing the couple in a setting that felt both sculptural and seamlessly connected to the forest backdrop.

The reception unfolded at the water’s edge, where the lake shimmered just beyond the tables and the setting sun cast everything in a soft golden glow. Guests gathered around tables dressed in crisp white linens, creating a clean foundation that allowed the florals and natural surroundings to truly shine. The overall effect felt elevated yet inviting—an effortless continuation of the ceremony design.

Centerpieces were designed with a modern, airy sensibility, appearing almost like small islands of moss rising from the tabletops. From these lush bases, white tulips, anthurium, and calla lilies seemed to grow organically, creating height and sculptural movement without feeling heavy. Airy grasses and Queen Anne’s lace swayed gently in the breeze, adding softness and motion to each arrangement. To further embrace the French-inspired aesthetic, clusters of fresh limes and grapes were thoughtfully woven into the tablescapes, lending a subtle nod to European market florals. The result was a look that felt fresh, refined, and warmly welcoming as guests dined and watched the sun dip below the lake’s horizon.

It was such an honor to be a small part of this unforgettable day. Wishing this beautiful couple a lifetime of love, laughter, and joy — and a heartfelt bravo to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the day as perfect as it was.
